This 16 day adrenaline-filled tour has you trekking along the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu, mountain-biking from the Andes down into the Amazon Basin, and whitewater rafting in the Apurimac Canyon. Never a dull moment! A fantastic opportunity for both the naturalist and adventure seeker to experience Peru's diverse culture and natural environments. There is also time to absorb the sights, sounds and tastes of Lima, Cuzco and the Peruvian countryside.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Arrive Lima
Day 2: Cuzco
Early morning transfer to the airport for flight to Cuzco. In Cuzco you will be met by your guide and transferred to the hotel. Relax or explore the spiritual sites of Sacsayhuaman and Tambo Machay.
Day 3: Ollantaytambo
Today we travel through the Sacred Valley, including the picturesque town and Inca ruins of Ollantaytambo.
Days 4-7: Inca Trail
Begin our once in a lifetime journey on the ancient trail of the Incas, reaching altitudes of 4200m (13776 ft). Fascinating ruins and spectacular mountain scenery fill every day. On the final day, climb the steps to Intipunku, the 'Sun Gate', to watch the sunrise over Machu Picchu before our tour of the famous Inca ruin. We return to Cuzco for the night.
Day 8: Cuzco
With a friendly, colonial atmosphere, Cuzco offers nearby Inca ruins, cobblestone streets, museums, markets and churches. Rafting, horseback riding and mountain biking are also possible.
Days: 9-11 Biking to the Manu Biosphere Reserve
We take an early bus journey to begin our biking adventure at the Huachuqasa Pass, 3550m (11650 ft). Mountain bike down the lush slopes of the Andes into the Reserve. From our jungle lodge explore the cloud forest and experience its diverse, fascinating flora and fauna. Return to Cuzco by bus and bike through the Sacred Valley. (Support vehicle provided.)
Days: 12-14 Apurimac River Rafting Trip
Rafting through the Apurimac canyon, one of the deepest depressions on the continent. Spend three challenging days on the Apurimac river, enjoying the white water and panoramic views. Return to Cuzco on Day 14.
Day 15: Lima
Fly to Peru's capital city for our final night. Visit the colonial styled Plaza de Armas or stroll through the coastal districts of Miraflores, Baranco and San Isidro for the night life and cafés.
