This tour combines tours of some of Guatemala's oldest spots, with modern day markets that follow in the same traditions as their ancient ancestors. Stay in ten different cities in 15 days and visit many more including some of Guatemala's most colorful, lively markets. Take a day-trip into Honduras to see the ruins at Copan and then compare them with the magnificent Guatemalan Mayan ruins at Tikal.

Itinerary:
Day 1: Guatemala City
Arrive in Guatemala City. We will take you to a hotel in the city for overnight accommodations.
Day 2: Guatemala City to Antigua
In the morning depart Guatemala City for Antigua for a sightseeing tour of this colonial style city, visiting the most interesting sites: churches, convents, monasteries and other colonial buildings. Overnight accommodations in Antigua.
Day 3: Lake Atitlan, Iximche, Panajachel
In the morning depart for Lake Atitlan, with a brief stop at the Archaeological Site of Iximche for a visit. Overnight accommodations will be provided in Panajachel.
Day Santiago Atitlan, Quetzaltenango
In the morning join the launch excursion to the picturesque lake-side village of Santiago Atitlan. In the afternoon, continue to Quetzaltenango for overnight accommodations.
Day 5: Quetzaltenango to Hehuetenango
Visit the colorful open-air animal market of San Francisco El Alto, the Church of San Andres Xecul and beautiful Valley of Almolonga. Overnight accommodations in Huehuetenango.
Day 6: Huehuetenango to Chichicastenango
In the morning visit the colorful open-air market of Todos Santos Cuchumatanes. In the afternoon continue to Chichicastenango for overnight accommodations.
Day 7: Chichicastenango to Guatemala City
In the morning visit the colorful open-air market of Chichicastenango and the Church of Santo Tomas. After lunch continue back to Guatemala City.
Day 8: Guatemala City to Copan
Begin the trip that will take you through El Progreso and Zacapa. Continue to Copan, Honduras for a visit of the ruins that same morning.
Day 9: Copan to Quirigua
After breakfast return to Guatemalan territory to continue to Quirigua for a visit of the site. In the afternoon proceed to Puerto Barrios for overnight accommodations.
Day 10: Quirigua to Castillo de San Felipe
In the morning join the launch excursion to Livingston. In the afternoon, continue to Castillo de San Felipe. Overnight accommodations will be in the Rio DulceArea.
Day 11: Castillo de San Felipe to Flores or Tikal
Morning at leisure. After lunch, transfer by land to Flores or Tikal for Overnight accommodations.
Day 12: Ceibal
Transfer to Ceibal for sightseeing of the site. After lunch transfer back to Flores or Tikal for overnight accommodations.
Day 13: Yaxha
Transfer to Yaxha for sightseeing of the site. After lunch transfer back to Flores or Tikal for overnight accommodations.
Day 14: Tikal
Sightseeing of Tikal. In the afternoon board your flight back to Guatemala City for overnight accommodations.
Day 15: Guatemala City
Depart from Guatemala City.
