Itinerary:

Day 1: Arrive Quito

Day 2-4: Galapagos

We visit several islands during our Galapagos adventure, viewing abundant wildlife and soaking up the spectacular scenery. Each day, we travel from the yacht to the islands, via a small, motorized launch with our naturalist guide. On land we will explore the islands as our guide interprets the natural history and educates us on the interesting wildlife.

Day 5: Quito

One last island visit before flying to Quito. Free time to explore after arriving at hotel.

Day 6: Quito / Lima

Fly to Lima. Flight is unescorted, not included and must be pre-booked.

Day 7: Cuzco

We fly to Cuzco, where you will be met by your guide and transferred to the hotel. Relax or explore the spiritual sites of Sacsayhuaman and Tambo Machay.

Day 8: Aguas Calientes

We board an early morning train with a local guide and wind through the mountains to Aguas Calientes. Enjoy the local scenery or the bustling activity along the railway tracks. Option to visit Machu Picchu independently before the guided tour on Day 9.

Day 9: Machu Picchu / Cuzco

Rise early to take advantage of viewing Machu Picchu in the early morning light. This is the best time to view the 'Lost City of the Incas'. Our local guide will provide a detailed interpretation of the Inca history before the majority of other tourists arrive at midday. Leave for Cuzco by train in the afternoon.

Day 10: Cuzco

With a friendly, colonial atmosphere, Cuzco offers nearby Inca ruins, cobblestone streets, museums, markets and churches. Rafting, horseback riding and mountain biking are also possible.

Day 11,12: Amazon Jungle

We fly from high in the Andes to Puerto Maldonado, deep in the lowlands of the Amazon jungle. We travel by motorized canoe to our lodge in the Tambopata Rainforest Area, which holds the world record for the most bird sightings in one area, and explore the jungle with expert local guides.

Day 13 Lima

Fly to Lima via Cuzco for a final night on the town.
