Itinerary:
Day 1: Papallacta Hot Springs
Set out from Quito to the relaxing Papallacta Hot Springs for a soothing dip in its steamy waters. Continue eastward on a scenic road that descends to the Amazonian town of Tena, traditional home to various Quechua tribes. Arrive at the Amazon lodge and enjoy dinner in riverfront cabanas.
Day 2: Anzu River Rafting
You will first warm up with a rafting run on the Anzu River. This relaxing Class II+ river is great for your first day in the jungle. Learn a little more about local culture and how to raft as a team while enjoying the beautiful surroundings. A picnic lunch will be served on shore of the river, and then spend the evening relaxing at the jungle lodge.
Day 3: JATUNYACU RIVER RAFTING
Day three starts with a short hike to natural river swimming pools in the Llanganates National Park where you will be able to relax. Soon after we set out in boats on the Jatunyacu River you will encounter the exciting Pimpilala, Boulder Garden and Guides Revenge rapids. Beautiful Amazon Jungle scenery and local indigenous inhabitants panning for gold are features of this adventure. In the afternoon we return back to Quito.
