Itinerary:
Day 1: Santiago
Day 2-4: Pucón
We head south to the Lake District of Chile, a true mecca for the outdoor enthusiast. Bountiful optional activities include volcano climbing, hiking in one of the many national parks, rafting, mountain biking and skiing/snowboarding (in season).
Day 5-7: San Martin de los Andes
We cross the Andes into Argentina to the little town of San Martin de los Andes. Adventure seekers will be tempted by plentiful outdoor activities. Enjoy unprecedented views of the surrounding landscape filled with lakes, forest and mountains.
Day 8-10: Bariloche
A stunning journey south via the "Seven Lakes Drive" takes us to the mountain resort town of Bariloche. The stunning surroundings of Bariloche offer us loads of outdoor options ranging from hiking, biking and parapenting to lake tours, and seasonal skiing/snowboarding. Bariloche is also famous for its quality and quantity of chocolate. So wander around the city, enjoy the landscapes and eat chocolate!
Day 11,12: Mendoza
Heading north, we arrive at the pleasant city of Mendoza, most famous for its wine production. Nearby excursions outside the city include winery tours, whitewater rafting and skiing/snowboarding (in season).
Day 13,14: Santiago
A short trip across the Andes, back into Chile. Our time in Santiago allows us opportunities to explore the city and museums, more winery tours and seasonal skiing/snowboarding. With your free time you can also visit famed Chilean poet Pablo Neruda's seaside house at Isla Negra for a fascinating glimpse into his life.
